SOUTH STREET SEAPORT — A cozy little spot for sipping New York beer and wine has found a home inside a Seaport market focused on local fare.

The aptly named Market Bar has opened inside the Fulton Stall Market — where a collection of vendors sell their artisan food, farm-fresh produce and handmade crafts inside a historic building along Front Street.

The new watering hole is run by Stephen Dima, an organizer of the market, along with Sara Williams, a co-owner of Seaport favorite Fresh Salt, a longtime neighborhood bar and restaurant.

To emphasize the pair's commitment to local sourcing, Market Bar is only serving up local beer and wine, with a rotating selection of New York craft beers. On tap, you'll find beers from brewers including Staten Island's Flagship Brewing Company, Queens' Rockaway Brewing Co. and The Bronx Brewery.

Along with sitting down for drinks, you'll get a seat for the live music regularly scheduled at the Fulton Stall Market.

Market Bar is only open on the weekends, Fridays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information about Market Bar, head here.
