SOUTH BRONX — A group of five suspects snatched a victim's Samsung Galaxy as he was walking off of the 6 train, police said.

The robbery took place on Aug. 5 around 12:30 a.m. as the 20-year-old victim was getting off of the subway at Whitlock Avenue and the five suspects were getting on, according to the NYPD.

The group grabbed the victim's phone as they passed by him, and when he held open the doors to demand his phone back, the suspects pushed him out of the train and onto the platform, police said.

The doors then closed, and the subway pulled away.

Video of the five suspects shows them walking casually down a sidewalk. Police did not have further information about the suspects.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES), then entering TIP577.
