UPPER EAST SIDE — Police are searching for two men who stole at least three handbags from two high-end boutiques during a weekend in March, according to the NYPD.

The suspects snatched a handbag worth $3,500 from a display in Hermes at 691 Madison Ave. on March 7 at 4:16 p.m., police said.

One man swiped the bag and hid it in a black shopping bag while the second acted as a look out, according to police.

The next day, one of the suspects lifted two hand bags, worth $1,500 and $2,500 respectively, from Salvatore Ferragamo USA at 655 Fifth Ave., put them in his shopping bag and left the store without paying, police said.

Both stores declined to comment on Wednesday afternoon.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
