PORT RICHMOND — The famed Denino's Pizzeria plans to take their slices across the New York Harbor.

Denino's Pizzeria and Tavern at 524 Port Richmond Ave. plans to open a franchise spot in Manhattan and are currently waiting to sign the lease, the Staten Island Advance reported.

"Manhattan is going to be the first location," owner Michael Burke told the paper. "It's like MacDougal Street, Bleecker, over there... it could be any day now."

Burke did not respond to request for comment.

The pizzeria — which opened its second location in New Jersey in 2010 — plans to franchise out their Staten Island slices, with Florida eyed as the next location after Manhattan, the Advance reported.

Aside from franchising, the restaurant also knocked down an old home behind its building, which Burke called an "eyesore," and plans to expand into the space, he told the Advance.

Denino's, which originally opened in 1937, is one of the best known pizzeria's in the borough and has been ranked one of the best pies in the city by several publications.
