UPPER EAST SIDE — Police are searching for a man who robbed a TD Bank on Third Avenue over the weekend by slipping a note to the teller, the NYPD said.

The suspect passed a note to the teller that demanded money and stated, "I have a gun" at the TD Bank at 1230 Third Ave. on Saturday at 2:36 p.m., according to the NYPD.

He then fled north on Third Avenue with $300, police said.

The bank declined to comment on the robbery.

Police described the suspect as standing 6 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a maroon button-up shirt and a baseball cap.

The NYPD is offering a reward of up to $2,500, upon the arrest and indictment of the suspect, to anyone who helps with his capture. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
