GREENPOINT — A woman paid her attacker $20 not to rape her, police said.

The woman, 24, was grabbed by the neck and fondled as she walked near Leonard Street and Bayard Street, in Greenpoint, at 11:20 p.m. on Aug. 1, the NYPD said.

The man told her he planned to have sex with her, police said.

The victim pleaded with him and told him she'd give him cash to stop — an offer he agreed to, police said. They walked to an ATM and the woman took out $20, police said.

The man took the money and fled.

Police are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
