Street Artist 'JR' Plasters Massive Ballerina Mural on TriBeCa Building

A giant ballerina is soaring across a TriBeCa building — thanks to French street artist JR.

The artist just finished plastering a massive black-and-white image of ballerina Lauren Lovette, the principal dancer of the New York City Ballet, on the side of 100 Franklin St.

The process, which took just a couple of days, was documented on JR's instagram account.

Lovette even joined in to help plaster the image.

The ballerina and artist collaborated on a dance film, "Les Bosquets," which debuted at this year's Tribeca Film Festival. The mural appears to be based on a scene from the film, said to be inspired by the rioting on the outskirts of Paris in 2005.

JR's massive street art has found a home on several other New York buildings, as well as numerous places internationally.
