BATTERY PARK CITY — A $3,100 bicycle was stolen after it was left, for just a few hours, chained to a fence in Battery Park City, police said.

The 30-year-old bike owner told police he locked his Felt AR5 bike to a fence on the corner of South End Ave., and Liberty Street at about 1 p.m. on July 24.

When he returned, at about 5 p.m., the bike, along with the lock, were gone.
