CROWN HEIGHTS — A man holding a handgun chased two people down Franklin Avenue Friday afternoon in broad daylight before opening fire and striking a 22-year-old man, in a brazen attack caught on security video, police say.

The video released by the NYPD shows two people running down a sidewalk just after 3:30 p.m. on Friday followed closely by the shirtless suspect who holds a gun in his right outstretched hand and a t-shirt in his left.

The suspect shot a 22-year-old man twice in the leg in front of a laundromat at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Park Place, officials said.

The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition, police said.

The suspect fled the shooting eastbound on Prospect Place, and was last seen wearing blue pants, a white shirt with blue horizontal stripes and white sneakers, officials said.
