QUEENS — A motorcyclist was struck and killed in Kew Gardens on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The motorcycle rider and a Nissan Altima collided at the intersection of Park Lane South and Beverly Road just before 6 p.m. on the edge of Forest Park, police said.
The 34-year-old motorcycle driver was rushed to Jamaica Hospital in critical condition by Hatzolah emergency workers and was declared dead at the hospital, police and fire officials said.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
The driver of the Nissan remained at the scene and no criminality was suspected in the crash though there is an ongoing investigation, police said.
