Group of Nine Attacks Teen Student as He Leaves School, Police Say

CARROLL GARDENS — A 17-year-old student was assaulted as he was leaving school last week by at least seven men and one woman, authorities said. 

The victim was on his way home July 7 around 12:30 p.m. when a group of nine attackers approached and beat him on Hoyt Street between Douglass and Baltic streets, according to the police report. 

The teen suffered cuts on his chest and bruises on his left arm, police said. 

The group consisted of at least seven men and one women, according to the report. The gender of a ninth suspect was not known. 

A $500 iPhone 5 was stolen from the victim during the incident, according to police.

No arrests have been made.
