BROOKLYN — A man brazenly shot a passing car on a busy Bushwick street, police said.

Video shows the man, in a red T-shirt with a group of three others standing outside 341 Knickerbocker Ave., near DeKalb Avenue, about 9 p.m. on July 8 when he draws a gun and opens fire on a passing 2005 Kia Sedona minivan, NYPD officials said.

The man, surrounded by passersby, fires three shots as a person in front of him quickly ducks down, according to the video. A man standing near the shooter backs up toward a fruit stand and then takes off running.

The 41-year-old in the minivan wasn't hurt, police said.

Investigators believe the shooter recognized the Kia but were unsure why he opened fire, an NYPD spokesman said.

There were no immediate arrests, police said.

The shooter was also wearing black shorts, red sneakers and carried a backpack, police said.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
