Weekend Subway Service Changes Slam 17 Lines, MTA Says

Here they are, the dreaded weekend subway service changes.

They’re working on 17 lines this weekend so be prepared.

1 Train:

1 trains won’t run in either direction between 14th Street and South Ferry from 11:30 p.m. Saturday to 5:00 a.m. Monday. Take the 2 or 3 instead. During those times trains will also skip 18th Street, 23rd Street and 28th Street.

Shuttle buses will run between Chambers Street and South Ferry.

Northbound 1 trains run express from 96th Street to 145th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

2 Train:

2 trains are suspended in both directions between East 180th Street and 3rd Avenue-149th Street from 3:30 a.m. Saturday to 10:00 p.m. Sunday. Shuttle buses will run instead.

3 Train:

3 trains won’t run in either direction between Crown Heights-Utica Avenue and New Lots Avenue from 6:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Shuttle buses will run, making all stops along the route.

3 trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both direction at all times until spring.

4 Train:

Bronx-bound 4 trains will run express from Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall to 14th Street-Union Square from 11:45 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

4 trains will skip Rockaway Avenue and Van Siclen Avenue in both directions and Brooklyn-bound trains skip 103rd Street at all times until September.

5 Train:

5 trains are not running at all from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday. Instead take the 2, 4 or 6 trains or free shuttle buses.

Buses will run between Eastchester-Dyre Avenue and East 180th Street making all stops, then run express until 3rd Avenue - 149th Street, stopping at the Hunts Point Avenue 6 station.

6 Train:

Northbound 6 trains run express from Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall to 14th Street-Union Square from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Southbound 6 trains run express from Hunts Point Avenue to 3rd Avenue-138th Street.

Southbound 6 trains skip 103rd Street at all times until September.

A Train:

A trains will run along the F line between Jay Street and West 4th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Brooklyn-bound A trains skip 50th Street, 23rd Street and Spring Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Northbound A trains will run express from 59th Street to 125th Street from 11:45 p.m. Saturday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

A trains won’t run between Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard and Rockaway Boulevard from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

During those times Brooklyn-bound A trains will skip 88th Street.

Shuttle buses will run between 80th Street and Ozone Park-Lefferts Boulevard.

Brooklyn-bound A trains skip Rockaway Boulevard at all times until the fall.

C Train:

Northbound C trains will run along the F line from Jay St-MetroTech to West 4th Street-Washington Square from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Northbound C trains run express from 59th Street to 125th Street starting at 6:30 a.m. Sunday until 11:00 p.m.

Brooklyn-bound C trains skip 50th Street, 23rd Street and Spring Street from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Sunday. Take the E instead.

D Train:

Southbound D trains will run along the N line from 36th Street to Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10:00 p.m. Sunday. To get to D train stops take the train to 62nd Street-New Utrecht Avenue or Coney Island- Stillwell Avenue and then transfer to a Manhattan-bound train.

E Train:

Jamaica Center-bound E trains will run express from Queens Plaza to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 12:15 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Jamaica-bound trains also skip 75th Avenue and Briarwood from 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

F Train:

Coney Island-bound F trains are rerouted along the E line from Roosevelt Avenue to West 4th Street-Washington Square and then along the A line to Jay Street-MetroTech from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Jamaica-bound F trains run express from Neptune Avenue to Smith-9th Streets from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Jamaica-bound F trains will skip 75th Avenue, Briarwood and Sutphin Boulevard from 12:15 a.m. Saturday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Jamaica-bound F trains will skip Ditmas Avenue and Avenue X at all times until the fall.

J Train:

Jamaica-bound J trains will run express from Marcy Avenue to Myrtle Avenue from 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and from 8:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday.

L Train:

L trains will operate in two sections between 8th Avenue and Broadway Junction and Broadway Junction and Canarsie- Rockaway Parkway. Trains between Broadway Junction and Canarsie run every 24 minutes. That’s from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

M Train:

Metropolitan Av-bound M trains will run express from from 6:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and from 8:45 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday.

N Train:

South-bound N trains skip 49th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Astoria-bound N trains will run along the D line from Coney Island to 36th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m.

Q Train:

Manhattan-bound Q trains will run express from Kings Highway to Prospect Park from 11:15 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

Brooklyn-bound Q trains will skip 49th Street from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 6:30 a.m. Sunday and from 11:45 p.m. Sunday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.

R Train:

Forest Hills-bound R trains run express from Queens Plaza to Forest Hills-71st Avenue from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Brooklyn-bound R trains skip 49th Street from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
