New York is gearing up for Friday's ticker-tape parade that will celebrate the United States' Women's World Cup team.
And although the parade will be confined to Lower Manhattan, outer borough neighborhoods, such as Red Hook, will be lending a helping hand.
Atlas Materials, a packaging company on King Street in the neighborhood, will be shredding paper and making confetti for the Friday parade, according to the New York Times.
The Downtown Alliance, which is helping organize the parade, told the newspaper it will supply celebratory paper bits to local businesses who ask for it.
Some businesses and buildings reportedly also make their own confetti.
The organization will be sending trucks to Red Hook to pick up the paper in bags and drop it off in buildings on the Canyon of Heroes, the Times' City Room reported.
Congratulations, ladies! There's a lot of paper heading your way.
