THE BRONX — A man who has been arrested twice this year for reckless driving was busted again Monday, two days after he deliberately rear-ended an ATV and injured a police officer in Hunts Point, officials said.

The suspect, George Evangelista Fabian, 44, faces charges of assaulting a police officer, menacing a police officer, reckless endangerment, reckless driving vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an accident with an injury, NYPD officials said.

The officer had just confiscated an ATV and was driving it to the 41st Precinct stationhouse when Fabian drove up from behind and hit him outside 672 Hunts Point Ave., near Longfellow Avenue, about 6:43 p.m. Saturday, police said.

The officer fell to the ground and suffered cuts to his arms along with pain to his neck and back, police said. He was treated and released from Jacobi Medical Center, police said.

Fabian, of Bedford Park, drove off, but was arrested Monday, police said.

He was arrested on Feb. 10 for reckless driving, reckless endangerment and possession of marijuana in Washington Heights, court records show. He was released on $2,500 bail, according to records.

He was arrested a month later in East Harlem for reckless driving, driving without a license, harassment and obstructing government administration, records show. He was released on $3,500 bail, records show.

He was due back in court for both cases in October.
