CROWN HEIGHTS — A new neighborhood coffee shop is open for business.

Marker Coffee, located at 241 Rogers Ave. near President Street in Crown Heights, opened Monday morning with a full menu of hot and cold coffee drinks and sweet treats like cranberry lime scones, chocolate chip cookies with sea salt, homemade granola and candied almonds.

The shop is the first effort of a husband-and-wife pair with experience as bakers and chocolatiers who always dreamed of opening up a dessert-and-coffee spot, they told DNAinfo New York this spring.

A drink and a snack at Marker will cost you about $5. Their cold brew iced coffee is $3.50; hot coffee is $2 for a small and $2.50 for a large. Most baked goods at the eatery are priced between $2.50 and $3.50.

The new coffee shop joins more than a dozen others that have opened in Crown Heights in recent years, many north of Eastern Parkway.

Marker Coffee is one of several new businesses opening up on Rogers Avenue this year, including a new bar, Branch Ofc., and a pie shop, Pels Pie Co.
