BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A 15-year-old is charged with attempted murder after shooting a 63-year-old man during a July Fourth barbecue in Brooklyn, police said.

Tyrone Whidbee biked into the park behind P.S. 59 William Floyd Elementary School in Bed-Stuy and fired several rounds into a group around 6:30 p.m., according to officials.

The victim was struck in the back and taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

The teen fled on foot and was eventually spotted by officers, who said he tossed a gun at the corner of Humboldt and Debevoise streets.

Police recovered a black, semi-automatic .380 PMK handgun at the scene and eyewitnesses identified Whidbee as the shooter, officials said.

Whidbee is charged with attempted murder and assault. He is being held on $250,000 cash bond and is due back in court on July 10, according to court records.
