OCEAN BREEZE — A man busted for driving a motorbike inside a Staten Island park nearly ran over a Parks Department Officer while trying to flee, prosecutors said.

Henry Clayton, 25, was riding a motorbike inside Ocean Breeze Park, near the corner of Benton and Mason avenues, on June 24 at about 8:20 p.m. even though vehicles aren't allowed inside the park, prosecutors said.

When a parks officer attempted to stop Clayton, he drove the bike towards her, causing her to jump out of the way to avoid being struck.

Clayton was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and menacing at his arraignment, the Staten Island District Attorney's office said.

He was released without bail and is due back in court on July 31, according to online court records.

His lawyer could not be reached for comment.
