UPPER WEST SIDE — The nine blocks between West 100th and West 109th Streets are a hot spot for illegal fireworks activity in the neighborhood, according to city data.

DNAinfo New York analyzed 311 complaints about illegal fireworks in the city between 2010 and 2014 and found the 10025 zip code is tied for 11th place for most firework complaints in the city, out of 153 zip codes.

There were 19 complaints from the 10025 zip code — which runs from West 91st to 114th streets between Morningside and Central Parks and the Hudson River — during the five-year span, according to the data.

By comparison, there were only five complaints from the 10023 and 10024 zip codes, which are located between West 59th Street and 90th streets on the West Side.

The most complaints in the area came from activity on West 100th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue, with five different complaints registered across the years.

West 108th and West 109th streets had the next highest number of complaints from neighbors, with four each, according to the data.

The complaints about illegal fireworks on the Upper West Side are not nearly as high as those from neighborhoods in Upper Manhattan, however, including Washington Heights and Inwood.

There were 31 and 36 complaints in the five-year period in those two neighborhoods, respectively, the data showed.

Days before the Fourth of July, NYPD precincts have already begun their campaign to alert New Yorkers that fireworks are not allowed and carry a fine of $1,000.

Take a look at complaints registered across the city between July 1 to July 4 from 2010-2014:
