BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A pair of thieves robbed a Fulton Street store at gunpoint, beating up employees before locking them in the building’s basement and fleeing with more than $3,000 worth of stolen goods, workers said.

The suspects entered Malik Clothing Store around 12:45 p.m. on June 24 and tried on shoes and clothing, according to employee Mehedi Hasan.

“They were making us think they were customers,” Hasan, 22, said.

“Whatever they wanted, they put it behind the register and when we rang them up it was a total of more than $1,900.”

The two men told Hasan and a manager they would pay the amount in cash and card. One reached into his backpack and took out a gun, the worker said.

The gunman pistol-whipped the 31-year-old manager while Hasan said he was punched and kicked to the floor.

The suspects took the men’s wallets and cellphones, according to police.

“The manager was bleeding badly and then they locked us in the basement,” Hasan said. “Luckily the manager had two phones and called for help for someone to get us out.”

The thieves fled 1263 Fulton St. with an undetermined amount of cash from the register and an estimated $3,000 in merchandise and goods, according to an NYPD spokeswoman.

“I was scared and in a panic and I still can’t sleep at night,” Hasan said.

Police released surveillance video of the suspects Friday.

One man is described as wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, a red baseball hat and carrying a green backpack. The other was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and a gray hat.

Last week’s incident isn’t the first time Malik Clothing Store has been hit. In May, a group of up to nine men entered the business and stole two pairs of sneakers, employees said.
