Pedestrians strolling down Bedford Avenue on Thursday evening may have noticed the trio of joggers clad only in white sneakers and cellophane who prompted online speculation and commentary on Williamsburg stereotypes.

If you were among those who assumed that this event meant there was "probably a vegan bicycle soy tattoo festival on 11th" but couldn't be quite certain about that, here's the definitive answer: You witnessed a video shoot for a song by the touring Brazilian punk band Finger Fingerrr.

Video director John Threat, of Brownsville, told DNAinfo New York that the shoot was scheduled on short notice as the Finger Fingerrr duo, Flavio Juliano and Ricardo Cifas, wrapped up the final leg of a U.S. tour. They had a flight to catch and no budget for a video, so Threat, who'd worked with the band on other projects, recommended the naked shoot for both its cost-effectiveness and as a way to make "a statement about gender politics." He called in an actress friend to star alongside Juliano and Cifas.

The video will be set to "Eu Só Ganho," an "existential song about how having everything gets you nothing," and the video commences with two giant hands ripping the sky asunder and beaming the runners down to earth, where they partake in a series of "wild" activities. Threat didn't expand on what he meant by "wild" but noted that it's probably for the best that the band is out of the country now.

Regarding public interest in the shoot, Threat noted that they attracted plenty of attention from some locals, but that it hadn't worried him. "They were also really nice", he said. "Nobody called the cops."

The video will likely be released sometime in July, and can be found on Finger Fingerrr's website.
