STATEN ISLAND — A veteran firefighter was charged with 100 counts of possession of child porn for storing and sharing files, prosecutors said.

Scott Trivolis, 51, a 20-year-veteran of the FDNY, had multiple files of children under age 15 engaged in sexual acts with other children and adults stored on multiple computers and storage devices, police said.

The firefighter, who lives in Tottenville and works for a battalion in Manhattan, also shared the movies and images on peer-to-peer networks online, prosecutors said.

Trivolis admitted to police that he knew the people in the files were underage when he was arrested, according to court papers.

He was arrested on Wednesday and suspended for 30 days without pay while his criminal proceedings move forward, an FDNY spokesman previously told DNAinfo New York. He was paid $105,931 in salary with overtime in 2013, according to SeeThroughNY.

Trivolis was arraigned on Thursday and charged with 100 counts of possessing a sexual performance by a child, 21 counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Staten Island District Attorney's office.

He was released without bail and he's due back in court on Aug. 10, the DA said.

Trivolis' lawyer, Stephen Bilkins, did not immediately respond to request for comment.
