FINANCIAL DISTRICT — A man who dropped his iPhone onto the subway tracks ended up losing the phone to a pair of robbers, and getting punched in the chest, police said.

The 20-year-old victim told police that his phone fell out of his hands and onto the subway tracks as he waited for a train at the Bowling Green station on April 29 at about 3:25 p.m.

As he went to report the fallen phone to an MTA worker, he saw a man jump onto the tracks and grab it, police said.

When the victim approached the man, saying it was his iPhone, another man punched him in the chest. Then the pair ran off with his phone, police said.

Police released video footage of the two men, who were both bearded and wearing t-shirts.
