STATEN ISLAND — A veteran firefighter was arrested Wednesday and charged with possessing and distributing child pornography, according to the NYPD.

Scott Trivolis, 51, a 20-year veteran on the force who works for a battalion in Manhattan, had multiple files of child pornography on multiple computers and storage devices, police said.

The firefighter, who lives on Staten Island, has been suspended for 30 days without pay, the maximum allowable suspension, while the criminal proceedings move forward, an FDNY spokesman said.

It was not immediately clear if any previous disciplinary action had ever been taken against him, the spokesman added.

Trivolis was paid $105,931 in salary with overtime in 2013, according to SeeThroughNY.

He was expected to be arraigned in Staten Island Criminal Court Thursday.
