ELMHURST —The city has released an updated guide to services and programs targeted to LGBTQ New Yorkers, including new programs in Queens.

Comptroller Scott Stringer released the comprehensive 2015 guide, which includes hundreds of organizations, support groups, health care providers and more, last week.

The 82-page guide also includes a map by borough and a full index by type of services provided.

"For members of the LGBTQ community, connecting to services geared towards their needs can be a challenge," he wrote.

The services are arranged by topic, from legal services and anti-violence and harassment resources to programs specifically geared towards LGBTQ youth or seniors. Services are also grouped by geographic location, by borough.

In Queens the majority of programs are located near Jackson Heights, including Queens Pride House and the Queens Center for Gay Seniors.

A new addition is the chemical dependency treatment clinic at Elmhurst Hospital, which specializes in treating HIV+ issues who may suffer from personality and anxiety disorders and major depression.

The clinic also offers medical, psychiatric and other assessments as well as family and group therapy for loved ones, according to the guide.
