Tami is an affectionate, mild-mannered and gentle beagle/Labrador retriever mix, estimated to be about 2 years old.

She was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico by Animal Lighthouse Rescue and is calm and snuggly, her rescuers said, but is happy to play ball with human friends or entertain herself with her toys.

"She is an easy girl that loves to lounge around and snuggle," said rescuer Julie Sinaw. "But when you're ready to go for a walk, she's up for any adventure."

She gets along well with other dogs and kids, Sinaw said, but is a little afraid of cats.

"[She's] never aggressive," Sinaw said. "Just timid."

Tami is underweight at "a pretty skinny" 22 pounds, Sinaw said, but will probably "fatten up" to about 30 pounds now that she is safe in a new home.

How to adopt: Tami, who is house-trained, spayed, healthy, and up-to-date on all of her shots, is currently being fostered. For more information about Tami, email Andy at Andy.AnimalLighthouseRescue@gmail.com.
