Saturday, June 20

► Sandy Ground Festival

Where: Sandy Ground Library/Museum, 1538 Woodrow Road, Woodrow

The annual Sandy Ground festival returns with live jazz and big band music, arts and crafts for children, guided tour of exhibits like “Faces of the Underground Railroad” at the museum and more. The event is free and runs from noon to 6 p.m.

Campfire Reading of "Treasure Island"

Where: Great Kills Park, 3270 Hylan Blvd., Bay Terrace

Staten Island OutLOUD presents a reading of Robert Louis Stevenson’s classic "Treasure Island" by campfire in Great Kills Park. The free reading starts at 6:30 p.m. and will move indoors by candlelight if it rains.

► LUMEN 2015

Where: Snug Harbor Cultural Center, 1000 Richmond Terrace, Livingston

Staten Island Art's annual festival returns, this time taking over Snug Harbor with more than 60 artists from around the world showing video installations, art and dance from 7 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $15 for online pre-sales, $20 day off and kids under 12 are free. Use coupon code SILOVE2015 for 20% off.

Sunday, June 21

► Punk Island 2015

Where: Staten Island's Pier 1

The annual free punk rock music festival hosted by Make Music New York returns to St. George for the third time, bringing more than 100 bands to 7 stages. Bands set to play include RVIVR, The Crack Rock Steady 7, local Staten Islanders Nerves End and more. The festival starts at 10:00 a.m. and finished at 9:00 p.m.

► Go Skateboarding Day!

Where: Faber Skatepark, Richmond Terrace 

The Parks Department, Richmond Hood Company and CD Skateshop will host the first annual Go Skateboarding Day! contest at the new Faber Skatepark in Port Richmond. Contests include best trick on stairs, best trick on a ledge, highest ollie and best run with giveaway and prizes for winners. The contest starts at 2 p.m. and ends at 6 p.m.
