BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Weekend subway changes got you down? You can still get around central Brooklyn — for free.

Cab service app Uber is offering free rides up to $20 to and around Bedford-Stuyvesant and Crown Heights on Saturday and Sunday as part of its “Neighborhood Love” promotion.

Riders can also use their receipts for discounts and freebies from local businesses, including the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, Berg’n beer hall and Bed-Vyne Brew and Cocktail.

With an average of 150,000 trips each month, the number of Uber journeys to or from Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights increased by nearly 200 percent since 2014, according to the company.

Uber New York City general manager Josh Mohrer joined Councilman Robert Cornegy, chair of the city’s Committee on Small Business, at Marcy Plaza on Friday to greet central Brooklyn’s Uber drivers and provide them with free food from neighborhood spots.

“What I hope is that folks from all around the city will come here and patronize all the businesses that are part of the promotion, along with others,” Mohrer said.

Weekend riders must use UberPOOL, the app’s ride-sharing option, and enter promo code “BKLOVEJUNE” to redeem the offer.
