HELLS KITCHEN — Two thieves stole a man's cellphone and credit cards after offering him a ride home, police said.

Police said the victim, who was with a 25-year-old man, accepted a ride home from two suspects — a 36-year-old Brooklyn woman who was later apprehended and another person who is currently wanted — at 2:30 a.m. on May 13. They met at a hotel, police said.

The vehicle stopped at a White Castle located at 525 Eighth Ave., according to the NYPD.

The suspect returned to the vehicle and found the 25-year-old man asleep, police said. Police said the suspect tried to rob him but the man woke up and fled before anything was stolen. The suspects then took the victim’s cell phone and credit cards, police said.

Police did not have a description of the missing suspect but released a video of him wearing a purple T-shirt and light-colored shorts.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
