► Tour of Historic Gardens in Jackson Heights
Where: Community United Methodist Church, 81-10 35th Ave., Jackson Heights
The Jackson Heights Beautification Group's annual tour gives exclusive access to many of the historic district's gardens, which are usually only accessible to residents. On Sat., June 13, a slide presentation of the neighborhood's history will be on display at the Community Church from 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Vintage photos and memorabilia of Jackson Heights will also be on display from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday is also the day for a self-guided tour of 16 beautiful gardens — the first planned garden community in the country. The guided walking tours of the gardens will be held Sunday, June 14. Tickets are $10 for one tour, and $15 for both.

► "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" Experience
Where: Museum of the Moving Image, 36-01 35th Ave., Astoria
Future of Storytelling will present this interactive screening of the 1975 cult classic as a celebration of the film's 40th anniversary, which will feature a live reenactment and a Q&A with the founders of the "Rocky Horror Picture Show" fan club. Audience members are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters, and "prop bags" will be sold in the lobby. Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. screening are limited, and can be purchased for $15 online.

► Long Island City Scavenger Hunter
Where: New York Irish Center, 10-40 Jackson Ave., Long Island City
Teams of up to four people will follow clues throughout the neighborhood in this two-hour scavenger hunt around Long Island City, with prizes doled out to the winners. The hunt starts at 2:30 p.m. at the New York Irish Center, and ends with a wrap party at the same location. Registration is $10 per person and can be done online.
► Sweet Jane's First Anniversary Party
Where: Sweet Jane's Ice Cream, 27-17 24th Ave., Astoria
The neighborhood ice cream and desserts shop, known for its gluten and diary-free flavors, will celebrate its first year in business with a party from noon to 3 p.m. Attendees can enjoy samples of its summer iced tea and iced coffees as well as discounts on ice cream. The event will include a Make-Your-Own-Sundae bar, a photo booth and a contest to name a flavor.
Where: St. Albans Park, Merrick Boulevard and Sayres Avenue, Jamaica
Bring your skates, rollerblades, bikes and skateboards for this first ever St. Albans Park's Roller Jam. For those who don't have their own equipment, rental skates will be available at no cost. There will be live DJ music and refreshments will be served. The free event will run from noon to 4 p.m.

Where: The Creek and The Cave, 10-39 Jackson Ave., Long Island City
Comedy club The Creek and The Cave will host this event as a fundraiser for Lady Parts for Justice, featuring adult versions of traditional carnival games and treats, like R-rated Bingo, margarita snow cones and tarot card readers. Celebrity guests include comedian Ted Alexandro and actress Ally Sheedy, who will be running the booths. Admission is $5 for the carnival, which will be followed by a sex-themed storytelling show at 8 p.m. Tickets for the show will cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
Where: The Queens Botanical Garden, 43-50 Main St., Flushing
The acclaimed Quintet of the Americas will present "The Melting Pot," featuring the premiere of "Variable Winds" by Flushing composer Daniel Ott. The quintet will also play works by other Queens composers. The concert starts at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free for garden visitors (garden admission is $2 for students, $4 for adults). Seating is very limited and available on a first come, first served basis.
