PARK SLOPE — Yet another bike was stolen after it was left in plain view in a Park Slope building's front hall, according to a police report.

A thief kicked in the glass on the front door of a brownstone on Sterling Place near Fifth Avenue and swiped the $400 black Trek mountain bike around 9:30 p.m. on June 2, according to a police report.

The theft happened while the bike's owner was out for a run. Another person in the building heard a crash, but didn't see the thief, the report stated.

Police have seen a rash of similar bike thefts recently and have warned bike owners not to leave their bicycles inside buildings where criminals can easily see them.
