Employees at the a gay hotel's restaurant and nightclub are suing the hotspot, claiming they were forced to "adhere to masculine stereotypes" and were only allowed to wear makeup and nail polish while serving Sunday brunch, according to a report in The Advocate.

OUT Hotel owners Ian Reisner and Mati Weiderpass are already under fire from the LGBT community for entertaining and donating to gay marriage opponent and presidential hopeful Sen. Ted Cruz.

According to the Advocate, the employees at KTCHN Restaurant and XL Nightclub are suing for discrimination and stolen wages, and subjected “to a hostile work environment” and “disparate treatment” that led “to their constructive discharge.”

Two of the men who worked as servers claimed to be the only “men working at KTCHN who outwardly presented as feminine at work and who did not adhere to masculine stereotypes.”

A dress code at the hotel frowned upon makeup and nail polish for men, the report says. The policy read:

“Also, please keep excessive makeup and nail polish to a minimum gentlemen. The only acceptable time for gentlemen to wear makeup or nail polish will be for Sunday Brunch during Haus of Mimosa.”

The OUT Hotel is already subject to a boycott, which will target the hotel's gay pride events this month.
