BROOKLYN — Federal aviation officials are investigating a near collision midair between an airplane headed to LaGuardia Airport and a drone flying over Prospect Park on Friday morning, officials said.

Shuttle America Flight 2708, which was flying to New York from Washington, D.C., was preparing for landing when it was forced to climb 200 feet to avoid hitting the drone about 11 a.m., the Federal Aviation Administration said.

The drone was flying at an altitude of about 2,700 feet, the FAA said. It was unclear how many passengers were on the plane at the time.

There have been several unrelated incidents in air traffic interference around the city recently.

Several planes flying in the New York area reported having green lasers flashed at them on Thursday night, FAA spokeswoman Arlene Salac said.

Sun Country Airlines 249 reported having a green laser flashed into the aircraft when it was 14 miles southwest from JFK Airport at about 11 p.m. Thursday, the FAA said. There were no injuries reported in the incident.

Four planes — American 185, Shuttle America 4213, Delta 2292 and Delta 2634 — reported having a green laser flashed into them while flying nearly four miles away from Farmingdale, New York, the FAA said.

There were no injures reported in any of those flights and the FAA notified New Jersey police.
