BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A mom of 10 was killed when a USPS mail truck making deliveries struck her in Bed-Stuy early Tuesday morning, police and relatives said.

Dorriea Campfield, 52, was lying on Fulton Street at the intersection with Rockaway Avenue when the 66-year-old driver behind the wheel of the mail truck hit her about 4:50 a.m., an NYPD spokeswoman said.

It was not immediately clear why she was lying in the street.

Campfield, who went by Tuti and lived in Morrisania, was pronounced dead at Interfaith hospital, police said.

"She made me a strong woman. She was the strongest person on this earth," said Campfield's daughter, Tawana Cright, 35.

"She loved all 10 of us. She'd do anything for us, I loved her for who she was."

Friends were shocked to learn about Campfield's sudden death.

"It's amazing all the things you survive and then a freak accident gets you. You hear the news every day, but when it's close to home, it hits harder," Monique Lebron, 46..

The mail truck's driver was not immediately arrested or ticketed, police said.

The Postal Service dispatched its own investigators to the scene, a spokeswoman said.
