MANHATTAN — A person was shot in East Harlem Thursday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.

The person, whose identity was not immediately released, was shot at 219 E. 121st St., near Third Avenue, about 11:43 a.m., the spokesman said.

Witnesses said he was shot between two residential treatment centers.

"I heard two gunshots," said Jamie Fuhrman, 26. "It's crazy."

The person was awake and breathing when crews took them to Harlem Hospital, but their condition was not immediately known, officials said.

It wasn't clear why the person was shot.

There were no immediate arrests, a police spokeswoman said.
