Quick-Thinking Victim Snaps Picture of Groper on 4 Train, Police Say

MANHATTAN — A quick-thinking straphanger groped by a man on a southbound 4 train during Tuesday's evening rush hour commute managed to snap a photo of her assailant before he fled the train at Grand Central, police said.

The man, who has salt and pepper hair, a mustache and goatee, can be seen in profile in the victim's photo released by police.

The man grabbed the woman's buttocks just before 6 p.m. on a southbound 4 train, then ran off the subway at the 42nd Street station, police said.

The suspect is about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and was last seen wearing a red shirt and a gray jacket, police said.
