QUEENS — Two men died Tuesday morning when a car they were in hopped a curb and slammed into a tree in Flushing, police said.
The 28-year-old driver and his 26-year-old passenger were in a 2005 Dodge Stratus speeding east on Booth Memorial Avenue when they crashed about 1:30 a.m. near 164th Street, NYPD officials said.
Neither of their names were immediately released, police said.
They were pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
