QUEENS — A burglar stole $1,800 worth of jewelry and electronics from the Forest Hills Gardens home of an 87-year-old woman after the victim left a window open, NYPD said.

The woman left her apartment on Dartmouth Street and Tennis Place on April 8 for dinner and left her window open. When she returned at 6:30 p.m., she discovered jewelry, a computer and an iPad missing from her bedroom, police said.

NYPD released a surveillance video showing the suspect leaving the building.

Authorities described the burglar as wearing black pants and a black Yankees hat. He was carrying a bag with a laptop inside, police said.
