MANHATTAN — An FDNY firefighter was arrested Thursday for shoplifting a drill from a Midtown Home Depot, police said.

David Rodriguez, 48, stole merchandise totaling $132 from the home improvement store at 980 Third Ave., near East nth Street, an NYPD spokeswoman said.

He stole a drill and it was not clear if he stole any other products, the spokeswoman said.

He was arrested about 11 p.m.. on charges of petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, police said.

FDNY officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
