QUEENS — Police are looking for three men who hit a 65-year old Forest Hills resident in the head, robbed him and later tried to use his credit card, authorities said.

The victim was walking home on Olcott Street on Feb. 2 around 8:45 p.m. when the suspects approached him from behind and struck him in the head with a hard object, officials said.

It was not clear what object was used to hit the victim, police said. The man suffered numerous cuts to his head but was not hospitalized, authorities said.

The suspects stole the man’s wallet, which contained $400, his driver's license and credit cards, according to the NYPD.

The robbers then fled in a maroon van on Selfridge Street towards Yellowstone Boulevard, police said.

On Tuesday, police released a security camera image of one of the suspects, using the victim's credit card at a Chase ATM machine at 103-48 Lefferts Blvd. in Ozone Park. It was not immediately clear whether the suspects were able to withdraw cash using the card.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
