WEST VILLAGE — A new dumpling chain is opening a location on Hudson Street.

Dumpling Go opened on West Third Street in Greenwich Village earlier this year, and at 188 Second Avenue in the East Village earlier this month.

EV Grieve reported on the opening of the Second Avenue shop in early March.

The newest store will open at 516 Hudson St., the former home of Hudson Falafel, dubbed one of the West Village's "last remaining truly cheap takeout spots" by Eater when it closed in early 2014.

Dumpling Go may be a franchise, but it's still more welcome to some West Village residents than other new businesses might be.

"Finally, a new small business instead of a bank!" said Greenwich Street resident Bruce Martin.

Dumpling Go's website lists a fourth incoming location as well, coming to 350 Third Ave. at 26th Street.

Dumpling Go did not immediately respond to queries regarding when it plans to open at 516 Hudson St.
