► 2015 Comedy in Dance Festival at Triskelion Arts

Who said dancers aren't funny? Triskellon Arts is hosting a comedy dance festival where choreographers cook up acts meant to get a laugh. Shows at 8 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Tickets cost $16.

► Cuba: Golden '60s Film Series
Where: BAM Theater, 30 Lafayette Avenue, Fort Greene
This film series that celebrates Cuba's cinematic golden age in the wake of the Communist revolution kicks off March 20 and runs through March 31. The series features seven films that depict the politically charged nature of Cuba after the revolution.

Where: 210 Patchen Ave. Bed-Stuy
Neighborhood grocery store Bed-Stuy Fresh and Local is transformed into a supper club with its monthly dinner party. Chow down family-style on West African-inspired cuisine, which includes avocado salad with roasted sweet corn and an hibiscus cocktail. Reserve a seat, starting at $20. Dinner is from 6 to 8 p.m.
Saturday, March 21
► Radiance 3: New Sounds, DJs & Strings
Where: 324 Malcolm X Blvd., Bed-Stuy
Female performers from the Fiery Strings Company showcase their mix of jazz, Russian folk and dance music with family-friendly activities. Brooklyn nonprofit Bailey’s Café celebrates its new home in this festival kick-off. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 at the door, $10 for students. 1 to 8 p.m.
Where: 641 Classon Ave., Crown Heights
The 10-piece dance band Kinky Spigot and the Welders will play '60s soul, '70s disco and '90s R&B hits starting at 8:30 p.m. at the Crown Heights dance club Friends and Lovers. Afterwards, listen to soul classics played on 45s all night.
► Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction
Where: Union Hall, 702 Union St., Park Slope
This monthly comedy show features “10 comics, writing and performing erotic fan fiction pieces, based on their whims or audience suggestions. It's really stupid,” according to the Union Hall website.
Sunday, March 22
Where: Jalopy Theater, 315 Columbia St., Carroll Gardens
Head to the Jalopy Theatre on Sunday for a family-friendly acoustic music session, led by members of the Demolition String Band. Sing and dance to classics from "the Great Americana Songbook," including hits from The Carter Family, Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie, starting at 11 a.m. Tickets are priced at $5 for kids, $10 for adults and $25 for families. Free for children under 2. Tickets available for purchase online.
