LONG ISLAND CITY — Want to learn to throw a punch like Batman or a "Mission: Impossible" agent?

A production company in Long Island City will offer a week-long workshop next month that will teach actors, directors and aspiring stunt performers how to move and stage a fight like an action star.

Big Eyes Entertainment and Tharsis Films Entertainment are hosting the seminar — from April 20-26 at a studio in Court Square — which borrows techniques from films like "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight."

"They're going to teach you how to move, how to use your body," said Jenny Bousquet, co-founder of Big Eyes Entertainment.

All of the action will be staged, with no actual punching required.

The workshop will cover both camera work and fight choreography, incorporating a type of "street fighting martial art" called the Keysi Fighting Method, used in movies like "Mission: Impossible 3" and popularized in Christopher Nolan's "Batman" trilogy.

Lessons will cover things like character creation, fight choreography and tactical techniques like how to work with weapons. Participants will also get in front of the camera, with each participating in the making of a short video that they can use in their professional reels.

Bousquet said the goal is to allow actors to film more of their own action and stunt scenes.

The 7-day, 40-hour workshop — called "Evolution Action Movie Program" — costs $900, though the first 15 people to sign-up will get a $100 discount.

The workshop will take place April 20-26 at 21-38 44th Rd. in Queens More information can be found here.
