Saturday, March 14

► Family Bird Watching in Prospect Park

Where: Prospect Park Audubon Center, near Lincoln Road entrance, Park Slope

Now that winter is finally winding down, go outside and learn how to spot some of Prospect Park's 250 bird species during this free tour. Visit starts at 10 a.m.

► Motown and Beyond

Where: Bedford Library, 496 Franklin Ave., Bed-Stuy

Hear Brooklyn-born Jazz singer Cilla Owens revive tunes from James Brown and Motown’s top groups. Owens’ performance style harkens back to the Murray the K Motown concerts she attended as a teen at the old Fox Theatre. Show starts at 2 p.m.

► Fill-A-Bag Sunday

Where: The Meat Market, 380 Tompkins Ave., Bed-Stuy

Get a new wardrobe for just $10 at the Meat Market’s weekly sale. The neighborhood vintage spot hosts a weekly ‘fill-a-bag’ offer. They’ll provide the bag and you fill it to your heart’s content after rummaging through the store’s bins. The sale goes from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

► Talk on Juvenile Justice

Where: Brooklyn Museum's Iris and B. Gerald Cantor Auditorium, 3rd Floor, 200 Eastern Parkway, Prospect Heights

Author of "Burning Down the House: The End of Juvenile Prison" Nell Bernstein will join members of the Brownsville Community Justice Center and the Brooklyn District Attorney's office in a panel discussion on juvenile justice reform at the Brooklyn Museum. 2 p.m., free with museum admission.

► A Show of Queer Musicians of Color

Where: Bar Matchless, 557 Manhattan Ave., Greenpoint

Get your rock on at this show featuring gay musicians of color. Genres range from folksy bluegrass to pop punk. The show starts at 8 p.m. and costs $8.

► Force Majeur

Where: The Cobra Club, 6 Wyckoff Ave., Bushwick

Force Majeur's vaudeville show isn't the circus from your childhood. It features an erotic balloon artist, a musician with murder ballads and a "mutation" dancer. The show starts at 9 p.m. and tickets cost $10.
