GREENWICH VILLAGE — Police are searching for a woman they say burglarized a CVS after pretending to be an employee reporting for training.

The woman walked into the CVS at 360 Sixth Ave. on Jan. 2 about 11:40 p.m., police said, and introduced herself as an employee from a different location.

Police said the woman told CVS staff she was there for training, and one of the employees brought her into an office and left her alone.

When the employee returned to the office, the woman was gone and a safe in the office was open and an unknown amount of cash was missing, police said.

The NYPD is seeking help from the public in identifying a suspect captured on their store's surveillance camera, wearing a dark green jacket and black and white track pants. The suspect in the surveillance photo has dark hair, a red hoodie, a tote bag, and black and white sneakers.
