WEST BRIGHTON — A woman died shortly after being dropped off at a Staten Island hospital by a man who later left without talking to doctors, police said.

Lydia Vale, 32, was unconscious when she was taken to Richmond University Medical Center on Jan. 28 around 12:42 a.m. by a man, police said. Staff at the hospital helped the man take Vale inside.

The man then drove away without providing contact information to doctors, police said.

Surveillance video shows Vale being wheeled into the hospital slouched over in a wheel chair, then the man driving away in a black SUV.

Police said there were no physical signs of trauma on Vale and they are looking for the man only for questioning about her death.

The medical examiner will determine Vale's cause of death, police said.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
