MANHATTAN — A trio of muggers punched a man in the face as he exited an elevator in a Central Harlem housing project and then stole his jacket, MetroCard and $15, police said.

The three men, who can be seen inside an elevator on surveillance footage released by police, mugged the 35-year-old man inside the Drew-Hamilton Houses at 200 W. 143rd St., near Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, about 11:15 p.m. Feb. 2, according to the NYPD.

They fled the scene after the robbery and remained at large Tuesday morning, police said.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

One of the muggers is about 5'10", 160 pounds and was wearing a dark overcoat, police said.

The other two men also wore dark overcoats, police said.
