BEDFORD-STYUVESANT — Spike Lee returns to Bed-Stuy this weekend to host an NBA All-Star event celebrating the neighborhood.

The film producer joins Councilman Robert Cornegy and “Video Music Box” creator Ralph McDaniels in “Bed-Stuy’s All-Star Reunion Day Party” to spotlight individuals in the area.

Lee, who filmed “Do the Right Thing” and "Joe's Bed-Stuy Barbershop: We Cut Heads” in the community, will honor neighborhood native and entertainment attorney Londell McMillan.

Saturday’s party at Bedford Hall is one of several weekend festivities in the area from local businesses looking to attract crowds from the Barclay Center’s NBA 2015 All-Star Weekend.

“We are hoping to get some spillover from downtown Brooklyn with locally geared events in the district,” said Michael Lambert, executive director of the Bed-Stuy Gateway Business Improvement District.

“Bed-Stuy’s All-Star Reunion Day Party” will be held at 1177 Bedford Ave. from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m, with music from DJ Premier. RSVP at bedstuyreunion@gmail.com.
