SUNSET PARK — The city is touting Brooklyn’s Sunset Park in a new video that encourages New Yorkers to visit the neighborhood for its cultural diversity, authentic Mexican and Chinese fare and artisanal businesses.

The short documentary-style video titled “Inside Sunset Park” features local residents and business owners offering an insider's guide to the neighborhood’s popular restaurants and sites, NYC & Company announced Wednesday.

The campaign is a part of the city’s Neighborhood x Neighborhood program, which this month will highlight the city’s three Chinatowns in Manhattan, Sunset Park and Flushing as a part of the Lunar New Year celebrations, according to a statement.

The initiative typically focuses on diversity in the city as well as areas beyond “traditional tourist locations,” the statement said.

The video focuses on restaurants and businesses in Sunset Park’s Mexican and Chinese communities like Maria’s Bistro Mexicano and Pacificana, and newer artisanal makers like Li-Lac Chocolates at Industry City.

“You can choose a different restaurant every day of the year and choose a different culture every one of those days,” said Tony Giordano, a longtime neighborhood activist who runs the popular “Sunset Parker” Facebook page.

The neighborhood’s Chinatown — concentrated on Eighth Avenue roughly between 40th to 64th streets — is where you need to go for “real Chinese food,” said Jimmy Ching, of Pacificana.

Green-Wood Cemetery and neighborhood green space Sunset Park were also highlighted in the video for their historical significance and panoramic views respectively.

“[Sunset Park] is a place that many people didn’t think of or didn’t know about before,” said Anthony Cirone, of Li-Lac Chocolates.

“People are hearing about things that are happening and we’re getting a lot more visitors coming to see what we do here.”
