JACKSON HEIGHTS — A group of cyclists that hopes to get more families biking is hosting some workshops to get things rolling.

Kidical Mass, which is made up of cyclists and safety activists in the boroughs, is hosting three meetups around the city to discuss bike activities and ways to make cycling safer.

Families who already ride will be available to talk about their experiences and share resources they use to while out on the streets, organizers said.

They'll also plan family-friendly bike events for the spring and summer.

"We're going to try to get more people to come on our rides, and have people learn your local roots, local tips, local shops, local resources," said Hilda Cohen, a cyclist and organizer.

The New York City chapter of Kidical Mass held its first ride in August and hopes the winter forum will encourage more people to join.

The first Kidical Mass event was held in 2008 in Oregon but has spread to branches across the United States.

The meetings will be held from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday, Jan. 31 in three locations:

Renaissance Charter School, 36-59 81st St., Jackson Heights

MS-51 350 Fifth Ave., Park Slope

TransAlt Meeting Room, 127 W. 26th St., Manhattan
